Our client, a Global Leader in Maritime (Tankers) is looking for a Technical Superintendent, with sailing experience in Tankers as a Chief Engineer (COC 1) to join their team:

Responsibilities:

• Managing all technical and safety matters concerning Company vessels and to implement the technical and safety policies of the Company
• Carrying out repair maintenance and servicing of vessels to the instructions of the Technical Manager
• Carrying out the negotiations with Class Surveyors relative to the surveys on board vessels
• Advising the Master and Chief Engineer of planned maintenance and maintenance work to be carried out
• Examining vessel’s machinery spaces with reference to cleanliness and the progress of maintenance
• Carrying out damage surveys on vessels and completion of necessary costing, reports accounts, abstracts, etc
• Proceeding to ports as may be necessary for the purpose of supervising repairs and restoration of the Company’s vessels and equipment
• Preparing of additional proposals for new regulations fulfilment if necessary with the approval of Regulatory Authority or Recognised Organization
• Ensuring ship is able to fulfil the regulations shared in the above pointers
• Function as then Liaison officer and trainer for Cadet officers
• Participate in dry-docking process as and when required

Requirements:

• Possesses a COC Class 1 with sailing experience on tankers
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Technical Superintendent
• Candidates with foreign going sailing experience as a Chief Engineer will be preferred
• Candidates with shorter notice period will be a bonus
