Job summary

Comaea Consulting client in Singapore is seeking a Technical Superintendent to lead the technical and operational performance of 3-4 merchant vessels. You will ensure safe, efficient operations, oversee routine and preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with international marine requirements.

The role emphasizes budget management, people development onboard and ashore, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure while staying updated with regulatory

Qualifications

• You must be a qualified Marine Engineer; a degree in business or any related discipline will be an added advantage.
• Experience as a Chief Engineer for 12 months on Merchant Vessels.
• At least 1 year of relevant shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent.
• People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.
• Business acumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels.
• Highly analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with any stakeholder.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.
