Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company seeking a Technician to support manufacturing by performing and leading machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. The role involves hands-on mechanical work across production lines and collaboration with engineers to resolve deviations while upholding GMP and quality systems.

The position operates on a rotational 12-hour shift (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am) and requires flexibility to overtime and shift changes based on production

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering field is required.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Basic PLC knowledge is an advantage.
• Mechanical drawing & use AutoCAD (interpret machine parts drawing).
• Basic electrical system and components.

Responsibilities

• Execute and/or lead production output, machine enhancements, and manage preventive maintenance effectively.
• Facilitate meetings with engineers or subject matter experts to determine root causes of deviations for successful manufacturing activities and ensure GMP and Quality Systems.
• Strong background in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime and be flexible to change to Day or Night shift if production needs.

Job Purpose

Provide technical expertise to support manufacturing inleading machine enhancement, managing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of machines, project execution, accountability on production waste and quality of all machine tools operations and the overall technician resource management in production.

This is a permanent full-time position, rotational 12hours day shift 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, shift pattern 3/4/4/3.

Main Responsibilities

• The primary role is to execute and/or lead production output, machine enhancements, manage preventive maintenance effectively.

• This role also facilitates meetings with various Engineers or Subject Matter Experts to determine the root course of deviations to ensure successful manufacturing activities and observing Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Systems.

• Strong background in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment.

• Basic electrical knowledge (can check on the basic machine component wiring and connection)

• Working hours: Rotational 12 hours day shift 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, shift pattern 3/4/4/3.

• Willing to work overtime if required. Flexible to change to Day or Night shift if production needs changed
