Support the assessment of feature inspectability on the CMM by developing CMM programs and providing setup plans and measurement instructions to CMM inspectors.
Assist in CMM Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies in compliance with RM13003 requirements and perform CMM inspections of repaired components for FAIR Form 3 documentation.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Inspectors to troubleshoot and interpret CMM measurement results.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to document measurements and assess component condition for OEM reporting and acceptance documentation.
Partner with Development Engineers to introduce new processes, products, and capabilities.
Provide guidance on the design of tooling, fixtures, and inspection gauges needed for CMM inspection of both new and existing products.
Support the automation of inspection processes on the CMM.
Collaborate with Engineers on automation and digitization projects in partnership with OEMs (e.g., Rolls-Royce) and research institutes (e.g., ARTC) to implement new production technologies.
Provide CMM measurement support for TV requests from production.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Familiarity with GD&T, PC-DMIS &/or MCOSMOS for CMM programming
Working knowledge of drafting standards (), symbols, and nomenclature; functional knowledge of material masters and parts lists/BOM
