Job summary

A leading construction support company in Singapore is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to assist the sales team, provide technical assistance, and engage with customers to ensure satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a diploma in a relevant field and at least 1 year of experience in sales or technical support. Strong communication skills and a valid Class 3 Driving License are required. This role also involves collaboration with internal teams and occasional travel to project sites.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Support:
    • Assist the sales team in preparing quotations, proposals, and presentations.
    • Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide appropriate product recommendations.
    • Maintain and update client databases and sales records.
  2. Technical Assistance:
    • Provide technical support and product knowledge to clients and the sales team.
    • Collaborate with the technical team to address client queries and resolve technical issues.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and site visits as needed.
  3. Customer Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Follow up on leads and inquiries promptly to convert them into sales opportunities.
    • Address client concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
  4. Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and technical support, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to meet client requirements.
    • Generate reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in construction, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a sales or technical support role, preferably in the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, or related products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and meet clients as required.
  • Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License.
