It is also an appointed dealer for Mitsubishi generating set and aftermarket services in Singapore.
HLPS members advise on the genset business for Taiwan listed company like Solomon Technology Corporation (TPE 2359) and for Hong Kong Listed company VPower Holdings (1608.HK).
It has an established arm to deal with Genuine spare parts of Cummins, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Caterpillar, MTU etc.
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Engineer with a strong background in generators and servicing to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in power generation systems and servicing with excellent sales abilities. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and supporting customers in both the purchase and servicing of generator systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Support:
- Act as a technical consultant to customers by assessing their generator needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Develop and present detailed proposals, quotes, and technical specifications for generators, including installation and maintenance services.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities by generating leads and maintaining a solid pipeline of prospects.
2. Product and Servicing Expertise:
- Provide in-depth knowledge of generator systems, including diesel, gas, and renewable power generators, as well as servicing and maintenance requirements.
- Educate customers on the installation, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of their generator systems.
- Provide support in diagnosing and troubleshooting generator issues, offering service contracts, upgrades, and replacement parts when necessary.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, including end-users, contractors, and industrial clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on both the purchase of new generators and ongoing service needs, ensuring optimal performance and long-term reliability.
- Regularly follow up with existing customers to ensure satisfaction with both products and services, addressing concerns and offering solutions.
4. Collaboration with Technical and Service Teams:
- Work closely with internal engineering, technical support, and service teams to ensure customer requirements are met from both a technical and service perspective.
- Assist in coordinating generator installations and ensuring that service and maintenance schedules are followed.
- Ensure that any technical issues related to servicing are communicated effectively and resolved promptly.
5. Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, new developments in power generation, and competitor products and services.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, market conditions, and service performance to the product development and management teams.
- Use insights gained to adjust sales strategies and drive continuous business growth.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Representative in the power generation industry, including generator servicing and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of generator systems, including diesel, gas, and renewable power generators, and expertise in servicing and maintaining these systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to customer sites for installations and servicing as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in generator servicing, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards for generator systems and servicing.
- Previous experience in technical sales within the power generation, industrial, or energy sectors.
- Familiarity with service contract management and customer relationship tools.

- Possess valid class 3 or 4 driving license.
- Work Hours: Mon-Sat (9am-6pm, Sat 9am-1pm).
