A technology solutions provider in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive large infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years in project management, experience in infrastructure domains, and strong stakeholder management skills. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is required, and familiarity with cloud technologies is a plus.
Overview of the position:
Responsible for driving the successful delivery of one large project or multiple small projects within a business domain or cross-functional projects
Ensures projects are well planned, on track, and resolves issues across different functions immediately
Mitigates potential risks early to avoid project failure
Leads cross-functional teams and collaborates with business users, internal and external teams, and vendors
Provides regular progress updates to key stakeholders and management, escalating issues for timely resolution
Participates in annual work planning and manages budget estimation for new demands
Possesses strong project management and people management skills
Confident in leading large projects or multiple projects, driving teams in a structured manner to meet business objectives
Pursues excellence and new knowledge, actively sharing skills with others
Demonstrates good communication skills, competent negotiation abilities, resiliency, and problem-solving skills

Project Management Planning
Plan and acquire manpower resources required for projects and manage their allocation and utilization to meet project objectives
Drive procurement activities and seek necessary approvals for project scope and funding
Lead the project team, ensuring alignment with agreed scope, budget, and timeline
Establish a project management framework in line with Quality Management System processes
Maintain a comprehensive Project Management Plan detailing scope, objectives, risks, and communication strategies
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and financial health
Project Scope Management & Change Control
Oversee the development of detailed project requirements and deliverables
Implement change control procedures and manage issues related to scope creep
Ensure changes are documented and approved before implementation
Project Time Management
Develop a detailed project schedule and assign skilled resources
Monitor project activities and deadlines to ensure timely delivery
Adjust schedules as necessary to meet overall project objectives
Project Quality & Test Management
Create a Quality Assurance framework and an overall Test Plan
Ensure deliverables meet requirements and comply with relevant policies
Implement a testing plan and manage the end-to-end testing process, including User Acceptance Testing
Project Risk Management
Establish risk and issue management processes
Identify and evaluate risks during planning, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and report progress to stakeholders
Project Stakeholder Management
Set up a governance structure and escalation mechanism for the project
Clearly define roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders
Implement a communication plan to align stakeholders on project objectives and manage expectations effectively
Degree in Computer Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline
At least 12 years’ experience in a similar role
Strong technical knowledge and experience in administering and maintaining infrastructure domain areas such as Operating Systems (e.g., VMware, Red Hat, Windows Server), Networking (e.g., SDN, Cisco), Security (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, F5), Automation (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Terraform)
Good knowledge of networks and networking concepts
Good knowledge of ITIL processes
Certifications in the above areas would be advantageous
Ability to analyze and understand complex technical systems built from many separate software and hardware components, specifically web application architectures
Good knowledge of private, hybrid, and public cloud environments and technologies including VMware vRealize Cloud automation, AWS, Azure, and OpenShift
Track record of on-time, on-budget, and to specification delivery with the ability to manage end-to-end delivery of solutions
Experience in managing complex IT infrastructure projects covering at least 3 domains and contract value above S$20m
Ability to prioritize assignments while working on multiple concurrent projects
Good security, audit, and compliance knowledge
Strong passion and desire to learn new technologies
Possess initiative and able to work independently
Meticulous and attentive to details
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively influencing various internal and external stakeholders
PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is required
