Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, security-focused initiatives across Core, Cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage requirements, risks, and schedules, and communicate tradeoffs to engineers and executives. The TPM will drive secure development practices, build self-service tools and documentation, and ensure scalable security architectures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing programs related to technical infrastructure.
  • Experience with security engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of complex security initiatives, from requirements planning to deployment across Google’s infrastructure.
  • Lead engagements with engineering partners to drive centralized security solutions and translate requirements into actionable plans.
  • Define, track, and report on key program metrics to demonstrate risk reduction and program health to executives.
  • Align team security objectives with broader engineering plans, ensuring commitments are met on schedule and blockers are surfaced early.
  • Drive the development of self-service documentation, training materials, and codelabs to support product teams in migrating to secure standards.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Information Security Engineering (ISE) Technical Program Manager (TPM) team leads the charge in safeguarding Google and Alphabet's extensive product ecosystem. We equip developers to build secure applications across Core, Cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring users can trust our products. Our core mission includes, advocating for best practices and secure coding principles to minimize vulnerabilities across our products and services. We design and implement solutions that protect user data and infrastructure, maintaining the highest levels of security. We create scalable and efficient processes and tools to strengthen the security posture of Google and Alphabet products. ISE is at the forefront of securing AI products, and leveraging AI to scale our security solutions.

Job responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of complex security initiatives, from initial requirements planning with stakeholders to final deployment and launch across Google's infrastructure as needed.
  • Lead engagements with engineering partners across multiple teams to drive the adoption of centralized security solutions. Translate complex security requirements and challenges into actionable project plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to project timelines.
  • Define, track, and report on key program metrics to demonstrate measurable risk reduction and program health to executive leadership.
  • Align team-level security objectives with broader organizational engineering plans, ensuring that commitments are met on schedule and blockers are surfaced early.
  • Drive the development of "well-lit paths," including self-service documentation, training materials, and codelabs, to support product teams in migrating to secure standards with minimal direct intervention.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience working with or managing programs related to technical infrastructure.
  • Experience with security engineering principles and practices.
Preferred qualifications
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of experience leading change management initiatives for technical deployments at scale.
  • Proven ability to define and track technical and business metrics to measure program success.
  • Contributions to the security community (e.g., open-source projects, publications, conference presentations).
