Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in program management.
  • Experience with infrastructure projects (e.g., across software, hardware, data center or networking).
  • Experience working in infrastructure engineering teams or service performance or quality.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with fiber permitting, construction, splice, testing and remediation.
  • Experience creating processes and delivery improvements for fiber delivery activities.
  • Experience managing fiber and telecom vendors for the on-time delivery of fiber assets.
  • Experience working in a technology company delivering network build projects.

Responsibilities
  • Define infrastructure requirements, set priorities and establish delivery date expectations by collaborating with upstream planning and acquisition teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of network infrastructure projects covering long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, leased capacity/circuits and inside plant fiber from inception through completion.
  • Serve as the primary APAC vendor liaison for network delivery projects, escalating issues up the vendor management chain when timelines are at risk and initiating meetings to update Google's downstream teams.
  • Manage exceptions and communicate issues and risks to the organization.
  • Manage the vendor handover process by overseeing Letter Of Authority, Customer Facility Assignment( LOA/CFA), Design Layout Record (DLR), test data and technical drawings while co-ordinating seamlessly with both vendors and Google staff.
