A leading railway company seeks a Technical Officer for condition monitoring. The role involves operating state-of-the-art monitoring systems to ensure infrastructure safety. Candidates should have strong data management skills and comply with established safety protocols.
Job Purpose
Railway infrastructure such as tracks, tunnels, and viaducts are inspected and monitored routinely to ensure safe use. Increasingly, the use of inspection technologies such as photo imaging systems, laser, and ultrasonic scan systems are employed alongside traditional track visual inspection methods to assess the condition of the infrastructure.
Railway buildings and facilities are also equipped with smart environmental control, pump monitoring, and lift control systems. These building conditioning monitoring systems could be OEM proprietary systems or third-party solutions.
The role of the Technical Officer is to operate the condition monitoring system to acquire data and retrieve data from these systems for processing.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of the Technical Officer, Condition Monitoring, include but are not limited to:
