To execute preventive and corrective maintenance, conduct technical inspections, and support outage activities on gas turbines/steam turbines and associated auxiliaries to ensure plant reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational safety.
Your Role:
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns on gas turbines, steam turbines, gearboxes, generators, and associated auxiliary systems (lube oil, control oil, cooling water, etc.).
- Technical Inspections Conduct routine and conditional-based inspections including borescope inspections, vibration monitoring, lube oil sampling, and visual checks on rotating equipment to assess plant condition and identify potential failures.
- Outage Support Participate in planned outages and forced outage recovery, including work scope preparation, resource coordination, and post-outage reporting to minimise outage duration and maximise plant availability.
- Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis Assist in troubleshooting operational issues, performing root cause analysis of equipment failures, and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Contractor & Ground Staff Supervision Directly supervise and coordinate contractors and technicians working on site, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with approved procedures.
- Safety & Compliance Perform site work Risk Assessments, enforce WSH regulations, and adhere to Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems. Certify work involving confined space entry and hot works within the power plant.
- Spare Parts & Procurement Procure spares and consumables to support maintenance activities, monitor critical spare parts inventory, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability and minimal disruption to plant operations.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting Prepare and submit technical reports for both scheduled and breakdown maintenance upon completion of site work. Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection logs.
- Coordination & Communication Liaise with operations, other maintenance cluster Technical Officers, and relevant sections to carry out plant maintenance works. Participate in daily meetings and outage management activities.
- ISO Compliance Ensure maintenance activities and documentation comply with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 27001) as applicable.
- Knowledge Transfer Provide technical guidance to technicians and junior staff, and support knowledge retention initiatives within the turbine maintenance team.
