Job Purpose
- Assist the Team Leader - Assistant Engineer in performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic inspections of MRT infrastructures to ensure stations, depots, on-line substations, viaducts, and tunnel infrastructure are in a functional, safe, and reliable state at all times. This position involves permanent night shifts.
- Conduct periodic inspections and rectification works on routine maintenance items, including repair of M&E work, bearing inspection, water leakage, cracks, spalling concrete, door repairs, lockset repairs, etc.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance following work instructions, quality procedures, specifications, standards, safety requirements, maintenance manuals, circulars, and railway operation procedures.
- Carry out routine system-wide inspections with in-house teams.
- Raise work orders, plan, and supervise contractor rectification works in accordance with quality procedures, specifications, standards, risk assessments, safety manuals, and operation procedures.
- Fulfill the roles of PIC and PM, including responsibilities related to safety and operations.
- Attend staff training sessions to enhance productivity and safety.
- Prepare and plan weekly work schedules and submit inspection records as per contractual requirements.
- Plan and schedule weekly preventive maintenance and rectification works.
- Record daily work entries in SAP/Maximo/DMS, including maintenance orders, permits, and attendance records.
- Investigate incidents and implement follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
- Respond to faults and complaints, performing corrective maintenance as needed.
- Participate in inspections for new areas in stations upgraded by LTA or developers, and manage tools and equipment custody.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- NITEC or Higher NITEC in Building Services Technology or Civil Structures.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in building, structural, or civil maintenance, or related knowledge of contracts.
- Willing to perform shift work, including permanent night shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
- Class 3 driving license preferred.
