Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Team Leader - Assistant Engineer in performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic inspections of MRT infrastructures. Ensure MRT line stations, depots, on-line substations, viaducts, and tunnel infrastructure are maintained in a functional, safe, and reliable state for users at all times. (This role involves performing Permanent Night shifts.)

  2. Conduct periodic inspections and carry out rectification works on routine maintenance items, including M&E work, bearing inspections, water leak repairs, crack repairs, spalling concrete, door repairs, lockset replacements, etc.

  3. Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities following relevant work instructions, quality procedures, specifications, standards, work safety requirements, maintenance manuals, circulars, and railway operation procedures.

  4. Perform routine system-wide inspections with in-house teams.

  5. Raise work orders, plan, and supervise contractor rectification works in accordance with quality procedures, specifications, standards, risk assessments, work safety manuals, and railway operation procedures.

  6. Fulfill roles of PIC and PM, including associated duties and responsibilities.

  7. Attend staff training sessions as per LNA to enhance productivity and safety.

  8. Prepare and plan weekly work schedules and submit inspection records as per contract requirements.

  9. Plan and schedule weekly preventive maintenance and rectification works.

  10. Record daily work entries into SAP/Maximo/DMS systems for maintenance orders, permit applications, and attendance tracking.

  11. Investigate incidents and implement follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.

  12. Respond to faults and complaints by performing corrective maintenance as needed.

  13. Participate in inspections for taking over new areas in stations upgraded by LTA or adjacent developers. Ensure care, control, and custody of all tools and equipment.
