A leading utility company is looking for an individual to manage transmission cable safety and contractor compliance in Singapore. You will oversee earthworks, maintain site safety, and ensure that all contractors follow specified requirements, contributing to the safety and integrity of the electrical infrastructure. Candidates should hold a diploma in engineering and possess relevant skills in project management and Microsoft applications.

Qualifications

Job description

What You’ll Do:

  1. Maintain knowledge of transmission cable locations and high-risk sites within the assigned route or zone.

  2. Respond to all Earthworks Contractor enquiries for his assigned route/ zone.

  3. Consolidate the list of high risk sites weekly and constantly monitor the earthwork progress of the contractors.

  4. Process Notice of Commencement of Earthworks (NCE), conduct site meeting, advice and issue Letter of Requirements to contractor

  5. Patrol transmission cable routes to ensure that preventive measures to cables are in place and that contractor complies with the Letter of Requirements.

  6. Complete site check report when carry out site visit via Cable & Gas Pipes (CGP) Mobile Application.

  7. Ensure contractors have consulted SP PowerGrid (SPPG) for high risk sites

  8. Prepare Infringement Case File for submission to Energy Market Authority (EMA)

  9. Perform Electricity Service Centre (ESC) standby duty to attend to cable/ gas pipe damage

What You'll Need:

  1. Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering / related discipline from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore

  2. Possess a personal vehicle and able to use for work purpose

  3. Possess skills in project planning, execution, and management

  4. Good grasp of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

  5. Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude

  6. Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment
