A leading company in utilities is seeking an Engineering Technician to create detailed technical drawings. The role involves using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and liaising with statutory agencies. Candidates must have a diploma in engineering and be able to commit to a 3-year contract with potential for permanent employment based on performance.
What You'll Do:
Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and the Company
Prepare detailed infrastructure and civil drawings and plans using CAD software. Knowledge of ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro is a plus.
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations and Infrastructure Planning Authority Group (IPAG)’s Lead Implementing Agency (LA) requirements for all utilities such as telecommunications, electrical/power, gas, water, sewer, drainage etc.
Engage with statutory/agencies and licensees, consultants/contractors, and/or their representatives on services coordination and secure In-Principle No Objection/ approvals.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback and changes.
Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documents.
Assist in the development and improvement of drafting processes and standards, wherever necessary.
Assist the Company in all IPAG LA matters.
What You'll Need:
Diploma in any Engineering discipline from local Polytechnics in Singapore
Able to commit to 3 years contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to permanent employment based on performance.
Proficiency in CAD software (eg. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Proficiency in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro software is advantageous.
Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Prior experience with Infrastructure Planning Authority (IPA) projects or utilities coordination for major infrastructure development would be viewed favourably.
