STATION SATCOM PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior Marine NAVCOM professional to lead inspection, testing and maintenance of radar, navigation and SATCOM systems aboard vessels.
You will supervise technicians, coordinate with OEMs and ship owners, and ensure ongoing compliance with SOLAS and GMDSS requirements. The role requires 12–18+ years in Marine NAVCOM, GMDSS and SATCOM, with a BE/B.Tech in Electronics.
Lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of Radar, ECDIS, GPS/DGPS, Gyro & Magnetic Compass, AIS, NAVTEX, BNWAS, Speed Log, Echo Sounder, VDR/SVDR, Autopilot and Course Recorder.
Manage GMDSS and marine communication systems, including MF/HF, VHF, Inmarsat-C, Fleet Broadband, SSAS, EPIRB and SART.
Lead technical support for VSAT, Fleet Xpress, Fleet Broadband, Starlink, Iridium and other maritime SATCOM systems.
Oversee Radio Surveys, VDR Annual Performance Tests (APT), annual inspections and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot complex RF, antenna, modem, network, software, configuration and connectivity issues.
Provide remote and onboard technical support 24/7, fault analysis and root-cause resolution.
Lead and mentor technical engineers and manage service schedules and technical performance.
Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, ship owners, ship managers and customers for repairs, service attendance and equipment replacement.
Review service reports, deficiency reports, equipment inventories and technical recommendations.
Assess equipment lifecycle and recommend upgrades, replacements and obsolete equipment solutions.
Ensure compliance with applicable SOLAS, GMDSS, IMO, Class and maritime requirements.
BE/B.Tech in Electronics / Electronics & Communication or equivalent.
GMDSS certification is mandatory; AMET University / relevant Marine Electronics certification preferred.
12-18+ years of relevant experience in Marine NAVCOM, GMDSS and SATCOM.
Strong hands-on experience with marine navigation, radio communication and satellite communication systems.
Experience in Radio Survey, VDR APT, vessel attendance and preventive maintenance preferred.
Strong knowledge of VSAT, Fleet Xpress, Starlink, Iridium, Inmarsat and L-band systems.
Proven experience in technical team leadership, customer handling and OEM/vendor coordination.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, leadership and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to vessels, ports and shipyards as required. Should be available and willing to work 24/7 shifts.
