Job summary

Good co India is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software aligned with business requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Software Development, Technical Leadership, or Solution Development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, or C++.
• Experience with software architecture, microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern application design principles.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), system integration, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, Agile, or software architecture are preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor developers, drive technical excellence, and deliver complex software projects in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions and project plans.
• Review application architecture, code quality, and technical designs to ensure maintainability, security, and performance.
• Mentor and coach development teams through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Drive Agile development practices, participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution of production incidents.
• Implement and promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native development practices.
• Monitor application performance, optimize scalability, and ensure high availability of systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and implementation guidelines.
