Job summary

Capco in Singapore is seeking a skilled Data Governance/Management specialist to drive enterprise data governance across financial services clients. You will define data ownership frameworks, ensure data quality, and collaborate with risk and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in data governance within finance, strong knowledge of Collibra or similar tools, and experience in data architecture and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Governance/management within financial services.
• Familiar with governance frameworks, metadata, lineage, and data quality controls.
• Experience with enterprise data governance tools (Collibra preferred).
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise Data Governance and Data Management frameworks.
• Define data ownership, stewardship, CDEs, glossaries, metadata, lineage, and data quality controls.
• Strengthen Data Quality, Metadata Management, MDM, and Data Architecture capabilities.
• Shape governance operating models, policies, standards and controls.
• Support regulatory and risk initiatives involving data sovereignty and privacy.
• Collaborate with business, technology, risk, and compliance leaders to solve data challenges.
• Utilize platforms like Collibra, Informatica, Purview to improve data transparency and control.
• Contribute to major data transformation programmes steering data estates toward cloud and analytics.

What You'll Get to Do

• Work with business, technology, risk, compliance and senior leadership to solve complex enterprise data challenges.
• Use platforms such asCollibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview and Ab Initioto improve data transparency, lineage and control.
• Contribute to major data transformation programmes and help clients prepare their data estates forcloud, analytics and AI.

What You'll Bring With You

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years' proven experience across Data Governance, Data Management or enterprise data transformation, ideally withinBanking, Wealth Management, Insurance or Capital Markets.
• Knowledge of industry frameworks such asDCAM, Data Governance Operating Models, Control Frameworks, and Data Lifecycle Management.
• Experience withData Lineage, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior executives, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience withCollibra (preferred)or other enterprise data governance and metadata management tools.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
• Fluent English communication skills.

You do not need to tick every box. If your experience is primarily in one or two areas of Data Governance or Data Management and you’re interested in broadening your expertise through consulting, we’d still like to hear from you.

Nice to Have

• Exposure toDCAM, DAMA/CDMP, BCBS 239, GDPR, PIPL, MAS TRMor similar regulatory/data management frameworks is valuable, as is experience with cloud data platforms or certifications acrossAWS, Azure or GCP.
