Job summary

WWF-Singapore invites a Technical Lead to strengthen food systems programmes with a focus on climate resilient rice and climate-adaptive agriculture in Southeast Asia. Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Climate Science, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural production systems, climate adaptation or sustainable agriculture.
• Strong understanding of climate risks and implications for agricultural production.
• Knowledge of rice production systems and Southeast Asian agriculture is advantageous.
• Experience with agricultural GHG mitigation, carbon finance or nature-based solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on agricultural and food production systems, initially focusing on rice.
• Identify and assess interventions to improve climate resilience, productivity and environmental outcomes.
• Develop technical recommendations to support programme design and implementation.
• Assess feasibility, impact and scalability of proposed interventions.
• Integrate climate-risk considerations into intervention design.
