Job summary

Grab's Clickstream Intelligence Platform (Scribe) backend team is seeking a Technical Lead with breadth across the following stacks: React.js, Golang, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Trino, StarRocks, Hive, Iceberg/Delta Lake on AWS, and Python for applied AI. You will set the technical direction for the platform, own its architecture, cost and reliability, and mentor a team of senior engineers and interns.

You will report to the Engineering Manager in Singapore and work onsite at Grab's Singapore office

Qualifications

• Experience owning backend architecture and roadmaps.
• Leadership of senior engineers and interns in a multi-stack environment.
• Strong collaboration across teams (Mobile Platform, Product Analytics, Data Warehouse).

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and roadmap of Scribe's backend: ingestion gateway, event-lifecycle services, streaming and data-lake pipelines, and APIs behind the Scribe Portal and MCP.
• Lead Project MEGA to completion with typed specs, validation, and migration of legacy events across teams.
• Design and deliver the governed clickstream data layer and event vocabulary for funnel analytics.
• Run the platform cost programme with deprecation, retention, right-sizing and chargebacks.
• Write RFCs, drive cross-team decisions, and represent Scribe in architecture reviews.
• Own on-call processes, incident response, post-mortems, and SLA monitoring.
• Grow the next generation of technical leads.
