Job description

This role reports into the Director, Value Added Services (APAC). It is responsible for executing and optimizing technical development processes, such as formulation, prototyping, and analytical work for pharma applications, supporting commercial objectives. The Technical Lab Specialist's responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support, troubleshooting, and handling customer queries
  • Developing innovative prototypes for pharma applications such as tablets, powders, and liquids
  • Performing analytical work, characterization, and comparative studies for pharma applications
  • Providing internal and external technical training
  • Monitoring trends in the pharma market (OTC and generic drugs) and using insights to drive technical development
  • Maintaining the application development centre, including sample preparation, equipment maintenance, inventory recording, and waste disposal

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field; possessing a valid Pharmacist license is highly advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an R&D lab of pharma applications
  • Knowledge of distributor and/or regional settings is a plus
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
