Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Governance & Strategy

  • Develop and implement governance policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead initiatives that ensure alignment with corporate vision, strategy, and service excellence.
  • Facilitate sector-specific technical product review meetings to enhance knowledge sharing and strategic alignment.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Conduct internal training to raise awareness of governance practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure ongoing professional development and dissemination of industry trends and innovations to teams.

Technical Leadership & Development

  • Represent the company in technical committees and trade associations.
  • Identify investment needs (equipment or manpower) for technical growth and capability development.
  • Guide technical teams in executing governance requirements for accreditation, certification, and inspection.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of governance processes for increased operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, operations, and compliance teams to maintain consistent technical standards.
  • Ensure all governance activities comply with internal policies and external legal frameworks.

Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support commercial functions by identifying governance needs related to marketing, client engagement, and training.
  • Provide expert advice and direction on governance matters to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Master's in Civil Engineering or Materials Science.
  • Chartered Engineer in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a civil engineering consultancy or engineering practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) standards and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and accreditation processes.
  • Proficient with technical tools/software and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
  • Active in professional networks with a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
