Job summary

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree and have some experience in formulations, supporting both technical and commercial teams in a dynamic lab environment. This role also involves maintaining lab safety and managing materials sourcing.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in formulation and/or coating.
• Major in chemical, chemistry, materials, or related.
• Able to handle lab equipment and maintain a clean lab.

Responsibilities

• Modification and improvement of existing products.
• Development of new products and laboratory testing.
• Support Operations and Quality teams in technical issues.

Skills

Proficient in English

Education

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Modification and improvement of existing products
• Development of new products
• Performing laboratory testing and characterization of products
• Support commercial team in technical analysis of customer specification and drive internal discussion specification review process.
• Support Operations and Quality teams in resolving technical problem and cost-down projects
• Liaise with suppliers to source for new raw materials and additives
• Lab management – keeping lab clean and safe, maintenance of lab equipment, ability to handle heavy loads, including disposal of chemical waste
• Customer interactions may be required at times
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Specialist Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent, majoring chemical, chemistry, materials (particularly polymer) or related.
• Experience (including internship) in formulation and/or coating of emulsions, hotmelts and UV curables are highly welcomed.
• 0-3 years of working experience.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least able to speak Chinese (Mandarin)
