Our client is a global renewable energy platform with a significant and growing footprint across Asia-Pacific. The role sits at a senior technical level and supports projects across development, investment, construction, and operations.

Role Overview

This position acts as the senior technical reference point for renewable energy assets across the Asia-Pacific region. The role supports new investments, project development, and operating assets, working closely with internal investment, development, construction, and asset management teams.

The individual will contribute technical input across the full asset lifecycle, from early-stage screening through to operations, and will interface regularly with regional and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical input across renewable energy projects in Asia-Pacific, covering development, acquisitions, construction, and operating assets
• Support technical due diligence activities for new investments, including risk identification, performance assessment, and mitigation strategies
• Review and challenge technical assumptions used in financial models and investment cases
• Advise on electrical systems, grid connection, power system studies, and major equipment selection
• Lead or contribute to technical reviews across design, construction methodologies, and operational strategies
• Assess technology choices, supplier capability, and regional execution considerations
• Support asset integration activities following acquisitions or joint venture investments
• Provide technical input to financing, refinancing, and capital markets processes
• Monitor regulatory, grid, and technology developments across key APAC markets
• Share lessons learned and technical best practices across regional and global teams
• Engage with external stakeholders including advisors, contractors, consultants, and regulators as required

Experience & Background

• Engineering degree with a recognised professional qualification preferred
• Extensive experience in renewable energy or power infrastructure projects
• Strong exposure to Asia-Pacific markets
• Deep understanding of power generation, transmission and distribution, and energy storage systems
• Proven experience supporting investment decisions through technical evaluation
• Experience working in cross-border, multi-stakeholder environments
• Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor with regional scope
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
