Technical Development Senior Specialist

Our client, a leading Japanese automotive MNC whose mission is advancing mobility solutions, supporting markets, and ensuring high-quality products and services for customers in Asia, seeks to recruit a Technical Development Senior Specialist.

Part of the Technical Development Team to manage and support small to medium mobility solutions projects including service planning, design, testing, and execution of solutions to ensure that the project is delivered on time and meets the project objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and support small to medium mobility solutions projects to ensure that the project is delivered and meets the project objectives.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system functional requirements and translate them into technical requirements and System Design for development.

• Perform solution testing including functional and interfaces from test strategy, test planning, design, execution, and management of test program and problem resolution.

• Manage UAT issues diligently ensuring that all reported cases are resolved promptly with minimal impact on the project timeline.

• Execute solution deployment activities and provide technical support and appropriate corrective actions for post-implementation to ensure smooth business operations.

• Involve along the development lifecycle for both in-house development and contract-based development to ensure solutions system is designed, implemented, and tested according to technical standards and best practices.

• Support Global/regional technical solutions rollout to SEA region.

• Work closely with the Business Team to create business strategy and product and technical roadmap for future business.

• Possess an understanding of technological trends and use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.

• Continuously improve working processes and development efficiency.

• Support other strategic initiatives projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 1 year of IT/Technical Solution System Development Experience with strong knowledge in SDLC.

• Good business acumen with excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into technical solutions.

• Good initiator with strong multi-tasking and time management skills.

• Strong communication ability (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders across functions to drive and facilitate requirement study.

• Meticulous, self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

• A team player with leadership qualities, high sense of accountability, urgency, and drive.

• Ability to adopt a “think global, act local” approach.

• Takes initiative to improve the current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.

• Ability to travel to the SEA Region.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, multicultural, and result-oriented environment.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to work overtime when required.

• Problem solving, logical thinking, and presentation skills.

Skillsets (Nice to have)

• Experience in MaaS, Smart solutions, and IoT Projects.

• Experience in IoT/connectivity device, front-end, back-end systems design, and application API.

• Experience in IT project management.

• Experience in product discovery (product vision, user needs, business objectives, technology feasibility, UI, and UX design).

• Experience in the creation of basic system architecture.

• Prototyping & wireframing using open source tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, etc).

• Technical knowledge of programming languages e.g. Python, .NET, or Java.
