Job summary

BeathChapman Pte Ltd in Singapore is expanding its technology team and seeks a Technical Business Analyst (Trading Applications) to bridge business users and developers through requirements, testing and release.

The role focuses on trading platforms, market data, and operational interfaces, with hands-on use of Jira, Confluence and Git/GitHub in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
• Experience working closely with developers and understanding SDLC.
• Comfortable in Agile environments with sprint cycles, testing and releases.
• Hands-on with Jira, Confluence and Git/GitHub.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specs.
• Experience coordinating SIT, UAT and system implementation.
• Some exposure to SQL, system interfaces, APIs, data flows or troubleshooting.
• Experience in capital markets, securities or financial services tech is valued.
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, front-to-back trade processing, market data is a plus.

Client introduction

Our client is an established securities and capital markets firm, part of a larger regional group, that is expanding its technology team in Singapore. As part of the continued development of its local capital markets platform, they are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Trading Applications) to join the technology team.

The role will suit someone who enjoys working between business users and developers, and who understands how technology changes move from requirements through development, testing and release.

Job responsibilities

• Work with business users and technology teams to understand requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Partner with developers across the delivery lifecycle, from requirement clarification through development, testing and implementation.
• Support Agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, requirement refinement and defect tracking.
• Coordinate SIT and UAT, including test preparation, issue management and follow-up with the relevant teams.
• Manage application releases, making sure changes are properly tested and ready for production.
• Support investigation of system and data issues, working with developers or vendors to resolve them.
• Document workflows, requirements and change requests using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Support integrations and system changes across trading, market data and operational platforms.

Job requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or in a similar delivery role.
• Experience working closely with developers and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Comfortable in Agile environments, including sprint cycles, testing, defect management and releases.
• Hands-on with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git/GitHub, or similar.
• Able to translate business requirements into clear specifications developers can work from.
• Experience coordinating SIT, UAT and system implementation.
• Some exposure to SQL, system interfaces, APIs, data flows or application troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Experience in capital markets, securities, trading platforms or financial services technology is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of equities, fixed income, front-to-back trade processing, market data or post-trade flows is a plus.
