Job description

Summary

The Technical Assistant I/II perform inspection, top up servicing, minor repairs, washing, grooming and breakdown recovery of all type of vehicle and ground support equipment. The scope of work includes all other task assigned to them.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn all operation and safety interlock functions on all types of equipment to conduct inspection and ensure equipment are safe to use in apron.

• To perform functional inspection, lubricants topping up servicing and minor repairs (replace bulb, battery, tyres of all GSE at the apron with a mobile service vehicle.

• To clean away old grease and grime from oil stain areas on vehicle/equipment before commencing washing, roller painting. basic spray painting skills

• To ensure paint and washing bays are kept in clean and survivable condition

• To use pressure washer and other minor hand tools

• To perform driving and recovery of vehicle and GSE (minimum class 3)

• Must be able to do 5 days/week rostered work timing (Monday-Sunday from 0800-1733hrs)

• Must be physically fit to climb up and down vehicle/GSE

• Follows safety policies, practices, administration etc. are enforced and compliance

• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head
