Job Title: Tech Support Assistant (6-Month Contract)
Location: Ang Mo Kio (AMK)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Salary: $2,000 per month

Job Summary: We are looking for a Tech Support Assistant to provide daily IT support for end-users, assisting in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up equipment, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. This is a 6-month contract role suitable for individuals with basic IT knowledge and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of operating systems, applications, and software updates.
  • Handle basic network troubleshooting (e.g., internet connectivity, IP conflicts).
  • Support user onboarding/offboarding, including account setups and hardware issuance/returns.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper tagging and documentation.
  • Log and track support requests through the internal ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary.
  • Assist with basic AV and video conferencing setup as needed.
  • Perform other IT administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Information Technology or related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and common IT troubleshooting procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Able to commit to the full 6-month contract.
