Job description

Job Title: Tech Support Analyst

Are you excited about playing a key role in keeping UBS competitive in the Big Data space? Do you have a good working knowledge of automation and telemetry tools?

Are you at your best when supporting others? Do you have proven ability to solve complex application production issues? And do you have a desire to innovate using state-of-the-art automation and monitoring tools?

Responsibilities
  1. Support big data applications that will eventually migrate to Azure.
  2. Ensure workflows, processes, tooling, and applications meet the highest production quality standards.
  3. Contribute ITIL production expertise to the onboarding of existing and new IT products and services.
  4. Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements.
  5. Assist in planning BCP, patching, and other infrastructure-related projects.
  6. Contribute to automating manual processes.
  7. Participate in problem management to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  8. Maintain a knowledge database.
Your Team

You will work in the Application Support and Reliability organization, providing application support for various Lines of Business (LoBs). You will be part of a global team offering follow-the-sun support with locations in Pune, India, and Zurich, Switzerland.

Your Expertise
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Azure knowledge is desirable but not required.
  3. Hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL, and MS Office products.
  4. Experience with monitoring solutions such as Netcool, AppDynamics, and/or Splunk.
  5. Knowledge of automation tools like Automation Anywhere or IPcenter is a plus.
  6. Proficiency with tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA, and batch scheduling tools like Autosys.
  7. Solid working knowledge of ITIL practices.
