Job:

The mobile team empowers the e-commerce business by crafting the best iOS app experience for our users. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading and driving the iOS chapter with your excellent technical leadership.

You will also regularly coordinate and communicate with cross-functional squads.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and inspire a team of passionate iOS engineers
2. Build high-performance, well-structured native apps with modern iOS best practices in mind
3. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app
4. Advocate for good engineering practices and ensure technical knowledge sharing
5. Define and plan a vision for scalable, modernized mobile architecture

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to lead and make high-level decisions
• Maintain respectful and trusting relationships; effective people management skills
• Proficient with Swift and XCTest
• Experience with offline storage, concurrency, threading, and performance tuning
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures (MVVM or VIPER), trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle
• Bonus: experience with CI/CD, automation tools, or functional programming

Role Type: New role, with 30% management and 70% hands-on execution

Reports To: 8+ direct reports

Must Haves:

Note: This is a high-value role. Candidates can work from home currently but should be willing to relocate to Singapore after COVID.
