Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an experienced Technology Internal Audit Lead to join the Global Technology Audit team. You will lead technology audits and risk reviews across products like TikTok and related platforms, coordinating with engineering and product teams to strengthen controls.

The role focuses on AI/ML data flow, security, privacy, and regulatory alignment. You will mentor teams, develop practical recommendations, and advance assurance methods to support safe, scalable tech growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technology audits, security or related consulting.
• Strong understanding of security fundamentals across cyber domains such as IAM, data security and application security.
• Proven analytical ability to assess complex environments against risk-based outcomes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills with the ability to challenge the business technically.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of technology audit programs and complex control assessments.
• Leverage advanced data analytics to detect risk signals in AI/ML models and data flows.
• Develop practical, risk-based recommendations addressing root causes for products and engineering.
• Build collaborative relationships with management and partner with engineering/product teams to strengthen controls.
• Ensure high quality audit work and pursue process improvements continuously.
