BYTEDANCE PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Global Payments Technology Audit Leader to join the Internal Audit team.

This role develops and implements audit strategies for payment compliance, lending, and other regulated financial products across TikTok and ByteDance businesses in APAC and EMEA. You will lead complex technology audits, collaborate with regulators, and advise engineering and product teams on controls, data security, and risk management to ensure robust governance across global

Qualifications

• Extensive years of progressive compliance or technology auditing experience within payments/fintech.
• Strong understanding of payment regulations and reviews of payment systems, architecture, and controls.
• Experience building audit plans for payment/FinTech entities in APAC/EMEA, and leading complex audits independently.
• Prior experience with regulators responsible for payment or money transmitter regulations.
• Analytical ability to assess complex tech environments against risk outcomes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem solving, collaboration and communication skills with credible technical challenge to the business.
• Strong professional judgment for risk-based decisions in evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology audit strategies and plans for payment, lending, and other regulated financial products across TikTok and ByteDance entities in APAC/EMEA.
• Lead complex, risk-based technology audits and advisory reviews from planning through reporting.
• Act as primary Technology Audit liaison with regulators and supervisory authorities across APAC/EMEA.
• Oversee coverage of payment tech architecture, wallets, and regulated products; ensure end-to-end processing controls.
• Evaluate security, data, and operational resilience in payments ecosystems; provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to advise on design and implementation of governance solutions.
