Adyen in Singapore is seeking a Team Lead - Software Engineer to guide a talented group of engineers building and evolving the APAC APM platform. You will shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with product managers to translate market needs into scalable solutions.

• Build and evolve integrations with alternative payment methods, including local payment schemes, digital wallets, bank transfers and other regional payment solutions.
• Ensure payment integrations are reliable, secure and scalable, with appropriate handling of payment flows, transaction statuses, errors and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Architects and Team Leads across Adyen to improve engineering practices and execution.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges, helping the team navigate ambiguity and make thoughtful engineering trade-offs.
• Continuously improve engineering quality through better testing, observability, operational excellence and developer productivity.
• Contribute to Adyen’s APM strategy in APAC, balancing local market requirements and payment method expansion with long-term platform scalability.

As a Software Engineering Team Lead based in Singapore, you will lead a team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for building and evolving Adyen's Alternative Payment Methods (APMs) platform for the APAC region. Your team plays a critical role in enabling merchants to offer a broad range of local and global payment methods, helping businesses reach more customers and deliver seamless payment experiences.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Architects and Engineering teams to develop and scale integrations with alternative payment methods, including digital wallets, bank transfers, real-time payment schemes and other locally relevant payment solutions. You’ll drive the technical direction of the team, ensuring our payment capabilities remain scalable, reliable and maintainable as we expand into new markets and support evolving payment methods.

As a people leader, you’ll coach and develop engineers, foster a culture of ownership, and guide the team through complex technical challenges. As part of Adyen’s global engineering organisation, you’ll collaborate with teams across Europe, APAC and North America to build payment solutions that scale globally while meeting the specific needs of local markets.

Who you are
