PRIMESTAFF MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Teaching Aide to support primary science classes in our partner school in Singapore. You will prepare hands-on resources, set up labs, and ensure readiness of materials ahead of lessons to assist teachers and students.
You will work closely with the HOD (Science) and department staff, handle logistics for science activities and events, and provide occasional library relief and admin support to the General Office. Monday to Friday 7.30am–3.30pm.
The Teaching Aide will prepare resources for hands-on Science activities, Weighted Assessments, and Science competitions ahead of the scheduled lessons, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all sets. This includes cutting, laminating, and organising resources for ad-hoc activities. The Teaching Aide is also responsible for maintaining and organising resources in the Science Laboratory and MakerSpace, including the packing of resources in these spaces in preparation for school relocation.
Prior to each Science lesson, the Teaching Aide will ensure that all resources and apparatus are set up in the respective venues and ready for immediate use. During lessons, the Teaching Aide will remain in the Science class to assist the Science teacher with the distribution and management of resources, monitor students' usage of apparatus, and render appropriate assistance to students where needed. The Teaching Aide is expected to work closely with the HOD (Science) and Science level representatives, communicating proactively on the management of Teaching and Learning resources.
The Teaching Aide will support the logistics for Science activities and events held inside and outside the classroom. This includes the setup and dismantling of activity stations, displays, and event materials, as well as the appropriate organisation and storage of resources after each event. The Teaching Aide will also assist teacher-in-charges with resource management before, during, and after Science activities.
On an ad-hoc basis and subject to operational needs, the Teaching Aide may also be called upon to provide relief coverage at the library during recess and render general administrative support to the General Office, including manning the reception area and attending to phone calls and walk-in visitors.
Please note that the scope of work list spans multiple departments and requires the candidate to be adaptable, organised, and able to manage concurrent tasks across different timelines.
