Job summary

JOINTHIRE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks dedicated teachers to conduct classes for secondary level students in Science and Math, and to deliver English lessons when needed.

You will follow the center's course structure, prepare handouts and exercises, and provide timely feedback to support student progress. Requirements include a diploma or higher, ability to teach Math or Science at secondary level, fluency in English and Mandarin, flexibility to work weekends and overtime, and basic IT knowledge

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree or higher required; prior teaching experience preferred.
• Must be able to teach secondary-level Math or Science.
• Possess primary school level English proficiency.
• Fluent English and Mandarin to communicate with students from China.
• Willing to work on weekends and overtime when required.
• Basic IT knowledge for conducting online lessons.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classes for Secondary level students in Science/Math following the provided course structure and materials.
• Conduct a certain amount of English lessons (primary and secondary level).
• Course planning and preparation using center-provided structure and materials.
• Prepare academic materials such as handouts, worksheets, and homework.
• Provide regular and constructive feedback on student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Mark and grade homework accurately and promptly.
• Provide academic assistance to students, addressing learning difficulties and barriers to success.

Job Description:

• Conducting classes for Secondary level students in the subjects of Science/Math following the provided course structure and materials.
• Conducting a certain amount of English lessons (primary and secondary level).
• Course planning and preparation (course structure and basic materials are provided by center).
• Prepare academic materials such as handouts, worksheets, and homework to support the teaching of the subjects.
• Providing regular and constructive feedback to students on their progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Marking and grading homework accurately and promptly.
• Providing academic assistance to students, identifying and addressing learning difficulties and barriers to student success.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree or higher is required; Prior teaching experience is preferred
• Must be able to teach secondary-level Math or Science
• Possessing primary school level English proficiency
• Able to speak in fluent English and Mandarin, to communicate with students from China
• Willing to work on both weekends
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Strong sense of responsibility, proactive and motivated attitude
• Basic IT knowledge is preferred for conducting online lessons
• Patient and passionate in communicating with all students and parents
• Eager and capable to learn and earnest

Compensation:

• Working location: Near Bugis and Rochor MRT stations
• 44 working hours per week with 1.5 days off
• Weekend work is required; days off are scheduled on weekdays and are fixed (face to face discussion)
• Mon to Fri: 11am to 8:30pm (including lunch and dinner break)
• Sat and Sun: 9:30am to 6:30pm (including lunch break)
• Public holidays: Off
• Year-end bonus (based on performance)
• Overtime pay if required
