The Perse School (Singapore) invites applications for a Teacher of Enterprise to join our team in August 2027. The successful candidate will teach Enterprise lessons across the Senior School, including Years 7-9, building on concepts delivered in Primary School to foster creativity, initiative and real-world problem solving.

A second subject such as IGCSE Business Studies is advantageous. This post is also available to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and those new to the international context.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PGDE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in UK/UK curriculum international settings
• Strong understanding of the Cambridge or English National Curriculum for primary/secondary
• Experience supporting students for whom English is an additional language
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students through excellent subject knowledge and high expectations
• Ability to contribute to school life beyond the classroom (trips, clubs, cultural events)
• Excellent communication skills

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Enterprise to join our team in August 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Enterprise lessons across the Senior School, including Years 7-9. The Enterprise curriculum builds on concepts and experiences delivered within the Primary School, ensuring that Senior School students think creatively, take initiative, and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges, while also introducing Business and Economic concepts..

The ability to teach a second subject such IGCSE Business Studies would be advantageous.

This post is also available to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and teachers who would be new to the international context.

This role requires a genuine passion and depth of knowledge of the subject, commitment to excellence, and the ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons within a truly diverse, multicultural learning environment.

Various leadership posts exist within the school including Subject Leads, Heads of Department and Year Leaders for suitably experienced staff. We ask that candidates address this within their applications should they be interested in leadership roles.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PGDE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, or equivalent).

• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in the United Kingdom or a UK/IB curriculum international school setting.

• Strong understanding of the International Cambridge or English National Curriculum for primary and/or secondary programmes.

• Experience of supporting students where English may be an additional language.

• The ability to engage, motivate and inspire students through exceptional subject knowledge, high standards & expectations, challenging lessons and differentiated learning opportunities.

• Ability to contribute to school life beyond the classroom, including trips, clubs, and cultural events.
