Qualifications

TEACHER – MUSIC

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated music educator looking to make a meaningful impact on students’ musical journey? We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team and nurture the musical talents of teenagers aged 13-15.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement music lessons appropriate through our structured syllabus.
  • Teach and develop music skills while fostering social-emotional competencies as part of the character education curriculum delivered through music lessons.
  • To inculcate student’s interests and passion in music through dynamic and interactive teaching methods
  • Prepare and coordinate classroom materials and equipment for effective lesson delivery.
  • Facilitate students’ learning through differentiated instructions tailored to individual needs.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and development of skills. Provide regular feedback to students, and parents where necessary.
  • Plan and prepare students for class performance at the end of each semester for their growth and achievements

Personal Competencies, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Minimum diploma holder.
  • Able to conduct basic lessons in percussion, ukulele, and guitar for beginners.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective classroom management skills with a deep passion for student development.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and learning, fostering a positive and inspiring classroom environment.

Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification with a major in Music.
  • At least two years of teaching or instructional experience in performing arts.
  • A recognized teaching qualification such as a Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, Singapore, or equivalent.
