Job summary

Deloitte Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager to lead the Tax Financial Services practice in Singapore. You will mentor teams, build client relationships, and manage tax engagements across banking, investment management, real estate, and digital assets.

With 5+ years of corporate tax experience, you will shape multi-jurisdiction projects, advise on compliance and advisory work, and contribute to business development while upholding Deloitte standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Singapore corporate tax experience in an international firm, law firm, or financial institution.
• Deep expertise in financial services sectors: banking, capital markets, investment management, real estate, insurance, or digital assets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law; ISCA qualification; SCTP accreditation is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and project management skills, with ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior staff.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative, proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop teams in planning and executing corporate tax engagements.
• Build and manage trusted client relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored tax solutions.
• Supervise the preparation and review of tax computations and filings.
• Lead tax workstreams in M&A transactions (due diligence, structuring, tax modelling, SPA support).
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including resource planning, risk identification, and issue resolution.
• Manage a client portfolio, delivering routine and complex solutions with support from colleagues.
• Prepare proposals and presentations, and assist with business development initiatives.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, professional services aligned with Deloitte standards.
• Act as a role model, fostering an inclusive team environment.
• Deepen your own technical specialism and broaden industry knowledge.
