An established industry player is seeking a skilled tax professional to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with statutory tax requirements and managing tax audits and queries. Your expertise will help navigate the complexities of domestic and international tax legislation, while also preparing quarterly GST filings and transfer pricing documents. Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Corporate Finance Senior Manager, be an integral part of the Group tax function and collaborate with the accounting/tax team members throughout the Group
Ensure compliance with the statutory tax requirements, including preparing necessary tax returns and tax computations
Manage and resolve tax queries, audits, disputes and resolutions with relevant tax authorities for Singapore and overseas sites
Monitor and assess the impact of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS 2.0) initiatives, including Pillar One and Pillar Two rules (e.g., Global Minimum Tax), and ensure company readiness and compliance.
Preparation and review of quarterly GST filing and responses to ad-hoc GST inquiries
Coordinate and/or prepare the Group’s transfer pricing documents to ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements
Monitor domestic and international tax legislation changesand assess their impact on the company’s operations.
Monitoring of taxes, withholding tax and tax audit management
Assist with periodic tax reporting and preparation of tax provisions
Execute and support tax work streams for M&A and key strategic projects, including but not limited to due diligence and post-transaction integration
Train and mentor junior tax team members, if applicable
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, HR and operational teams
Assist the team on any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualifications
Min. 3 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting firms and/or commercial firms, focusing on taxation
Possesses relevant Singapore tax qualifications (SCTP / CA Singapore)
