What role will you play?

You will provide tax technical advice on new and complex transactions across various businesses within Macquarie Group, including trading of Commodities, Fixed Income, Equities, Asset Management, and Capital Investments. Your role will also involve ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place to meet Macquarie’s tax obligations, liaising with external tax advisors, auditors, and government authorities on tax-related issues and audits.

What you offer
  • 6+ years of tax advisory and reporting experience gained in a chartered accounting, law, consulting firm, or tax division of a large corporation
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain internal client relationships with business executives and external relationships with advisors, coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work plans autonomously
  • Responsibility and ownership for issues impacting your tasks, with an understanding of end-to-end processes to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Experience in improving data quality and utilizing tax technology and tools to enhance processes within the tax function
  • A team player aware of your role’s scope, capable of managing tax risk while partnering with the business to apply a commercial perspective
