A leading international law firm with a strong regional platform is seeking a Tax Knowledge Counsel to support its tax practice across Asia‑Pacific. Based in Singapore on a hybrid basis, the role works directly with regional practice leadership and offers broad visibility across the APAC tax practice. The firm sees knowledge as central to how it serves clients, and this position carries real influence over how the practice shares expertise, develops its lawyers and delivers value across the region.
This is a regional role with genuine breadth. You will lead thought leadership initiatives, develop lawyer capability and drive knowledge and training programmes for the tax practice. In practice that covers drafting, developing and maintaining tax precedents and legal content (with automation where sensible); keeping the practice on top of legal, regulatory and market developments through structured updates; and coordinating input across jurisdictions on multi‑country tax topics so that cross‑border positions stay consistent. You will build practical tools — checklists, comparison tables and playbooks — champion the firm's knowledge systems, and help shape client alerts, thought leadership and regional client conference content alongside BD managers and lawyers. The firm is investing seriously in AI and legal technology, and you will be a visible advocate for its adoption in how knowledge is created, managed and shared.
You are a qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain one, and strong technical expertise in tax law — cross‑border or APAC experience will serve you well. You communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders and are comfortable in a multicultural, multi‑jurisdictional environment. Excellent organisation and time management come naturally to you, as does advanced proficiency in Word and Excel. Hands‑on experience with knowledge management systems, document automation or AI tools is welcome, as is a genuine enthusiasm for developing that expertise.
