Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Tamil Enrichment Teachers to join our team, teaching Preschool (ages 3–6) and/or Primary (Primary 1–6) levels. The ideal candidates are nurturing educators with strong Tamil proficiency, a love for teaching, and creativity in engaging children through stories, drama, and play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan (where needed) and deliver interactive and engaging தமிழ் lessons aligned with students’ developmental stages and learning goals
• For Preschool levels: Conduct play-based, story-driven, and activity-rich lessons to develop listening, speaking, and early literacy skills
• For Primary levels: Teach core components of the MOE தமிழ் syllabus – including reading, writing, comprehension, oral communication, and composition
• Design creative classroom activities, materials, and assessments to support joyful and effective learning
• Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to parents
• Maintain a caring, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages confidence and participation
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine enrichment curriculum and teaching methods

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in spoken and written Tamil
• Passionate about teaching and inspiring children to love the தமிழ் language
• Understanding of the MOE Primary Tamil curriculum (for Primary level teachers)
• Familiarity with early childhood pedagogy or creative teaching methods (for Preschool level teachers)
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
• Warm, patient, and nurturing approach towards young learners
• Relevant teaching experience preferred (in enrichment or MOE school settings)
• Diploma or Degree in Education, Tamil Language, Linguistics, or Early Childhood Education (preferred)
