Job summary

Kepler Search is partnering with a leading energy and commodities trading business to recruit a Talent Development professional in Singapore. The role owns the design and delivery of learning frameworks spanning graduate intake to senior leadership, working closely with desk heads and business leaders.

The incumbent will build the trading academy, shape competency frameworks, and manage external training partnerships to deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-moving market.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in talent development, learning and development, or organisational development.
• Track record of building programmes from the ground up rather than administering existing ones.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management across an international business.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of the talent development curriculum across trading, operations, and corporate functions, from onboarding to leadership programmes.
• Build and run the trading academy and graduate development pathway with desk heads to translate capability into learning.
• Design leadership and management development programmes for high potential and senior populations, including succession planning inputs.
• Establish competency frameworks and capability assessments for skills gaps and priorities.
• Manage relationships with external training providers, coaches, and accreditation bodies, ensuring measurable outcomes.
• Track and report on programme impact using data to show where learning moves performance.

A leading energy and commodities trading business is looking for a Talent Development professional to design and deliver the learning, capability, and leadership programmes that keep its trading, commercial, and functional teams ahead of a fast moving market. Sitting within the People function and working closely with desk heads and business leaders, this person owns the frameworks that develop talent from graduate intake through to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of the firm's talent development curriculum across trading, operations, and corporate functions, from technical onboarding to leadership programmes.


• Build and run the trading academy and graduate development pathway, partnering with desk heads to translate commercial capability into structured learning.


• Design leadership and management development programmes for high potential and senior populations, including succession planning inputs.


• Establish competency frameworks and capability assessments that give the business a clear view of skills, gaps, and development priorities.


• Manage relationships with external training providers, coaches, and accreditation bodies, holding them to measurable outcomes.


• Track and report on programme impact, using data to show where learning is moving performance and where it is not.

Requirements

• Proven experience in talent development, learning and development, or organisational development, ideally within trading, energy, commodities, or another performance driven environment.


• A track record of building programmes from the ground up rather than simply administering existing ones.


• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills across a matrixed, international business.
