Role Purpose

We're looking for a Systems Specialist based in either Singapore or Malaysia.

The purpose of this role is to support the timely and budget-conscious implementation of IT projects while ensuring alignment with DHL's technology platform and requirements. It involves providing technical and project management recommendations regarding leading-edge IT development technologies and practices, contributing expertise to the implementation of complex migrations and integration solutions, and offering technical input on the design, development, and implementation of major solutions.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

IT Systems Development, Configuration & Testing
• Provide technical input on design, development, and implementation of Clearance solutions
• Configure/implement IT systems using the agreed technologies components (e.g. SOA)
• Support the IT system deployment process as and when required
• Provide/design solution for Non-Functional Requirements
• Support the IT system deployment process as and when required
• Meet project milestones and budget
• Technical Quality assurance and testing for solutions within the scope of the domain

Technology, Touchpoint, People, and Processes
• Learn new technologies and, where appropriate, apply them to the software development process
• Contribute to the implementation of technically complex migrations & integration solution and transition projects
• Identify (IT) technology issues/risks early during software development
• Build an effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders

Finance & Projects
• Complete assigned tasks as per committed project schedule
• Support Project Manager in effectively using the IT Project budget
• Track and close all IT technical issues

People Management
• Communicate effectively & build strong relationships across multiple project teams
• Be self-motivated and deal with conflict situations in a positive manner
• Developing self (via training & own learning) on DHL culture, DHL application and on (new) IT technology

Do you have what it takes?

• A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 3 to 8 years of relevant work experience in IT.
• At least 1 year of experience in service-oriented architecture and related technologies.
• Experience in analytics, application development, or project management.
• Familiarity with cross-cultural environments is desirable. A passion for technology, along with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work both independently as an individual contributor and collaboratively as part of a team.
