Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with hands-on experience in implementing and managing Palo Alto Networks solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing network security solutions to ensure the organizations IT infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Palo Alto Implementation and Administration:
- Deploy and configure Palo Alto firewalls, including next-generation firewall features such as application control, URL filtering, threat prevention, and IPS.
- Manage and maintain security policies and objects in Palo Alto solutions.
- Perform upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting for Palo Alto hardware and software.
Network Security Design and Architecture:
- Design secure network architectures and implement best practices for security configurations.
- Conduct network risk assessments and provide recommendations to improve security.
Incident Management:
- Monitor and analyze network security alerts, investigate potential threats, and respond to incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with SOC/IT teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain documentation related to Palo Alto implementations, including network diagrams, policies, and configurations.
- Provide regular reports on the health and performance of network security systems.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure network security policies and configurations align with organizational compliance standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and Palo Alto product updates.
Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network security engineering with a focus on Palo Alto Networks.
- Expertise in implementing and configuring Palo Alto firewalls, including PAN-OS, Panorama, GlobalProtect, and VPNs.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), routing (BGP, OSPF), and switching.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications such as PCNSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator) or PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer).
Good to have Skills:
- Experience with other network security tools (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Check Point).
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in an ITIL-based environment.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote support tools.
- Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting (e.g., Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
