Job summary

AKRIBIS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a versatile IT Operations Engineer to manage LAN, core infrastructure, and endpoint ops within a small, hands-on team in Singapore. You will drive automation, maintain security, and support engineering sites with VMware-like virtualization and Entra/365 identity services.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams to ensure a stable and efficient IT environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on LAN administration including VLAN design, switching, VPNs, wireless, and firewall policy.
• Windows & Linux server administration with virtualization (Proxmox) and storage/backup.
• Identity and access management with Entra ID / MS 365 or AD.
• Endpoint/workstation support for engineering PCs, imaging, drivers, licensing.
• Operational security: patching, hardening, logging, access reviews.
• Ability to work independently in a small team and document changes.

Responsibilities

• Own LAN and site connectivity, including VLAN design, switching, inter-VLAN routing, wireless, firewall policy, VPNs, and documented topology.
• Administer core infrastructure: Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and Entra/MS 365 IAM.
• Own endpoint/workstation operations for engineering systems, CAD-class PCs, imaging, patching, and security.
• Apply operational security controls: patching, hardening, logging, access reviews; integrate security into daily ops.
• Manage vendor engagement for circuits, hardware, and warranty support.
• Automate repeatable tasks with PowerShell and Power Automate, with access control and rollback paths.
• Handle user lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, and engineering support.
• Produce and maintain runbooks, diagrams, change records, and restore procedures.
• Track performance (incidents, restore time, provisioning, patch compliance) and escalate risks with actions.
