Job description

We are seeking an experienced System Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and operations of mission‑critical systems supporting Defence sector projects. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Technical Leads to ensure system reliability, security, and high‑quality delivery across multiple enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all installed systems and infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance.
• Oversee and guide engineers and technical teams in incident resolution, troubleshooting, and technical escalations.
• Plan and supervise installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems and system management tools.
• Drive system architecture improvements, operational support processes, and security hardening (CIS benchmarks).
• Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams to resolve complex issues.
• Ensure enterprise‑wide operational excellence across Microsoft Windows, VMware, and Red Hat platforms.
• Oversee 24/7 operational support and participate in the monthly on‑call rotation as needed.

Ideal candidate

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Strong experience in IT system management across diverse infrastructure environments.
• Proactive, positive attitude with strong leadership in operations and service delivery.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to start immediately or on short notice is an advantage.
• Experience with IBM MQ, MongoDB, and VMware NSX is a strong plus.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with proven system management responsibilities.
