Job summary

ENGGSOL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a technical specialist to prepare specifications, GAP, and SEL for ship projects and to perform specialized assessments for internal and external stakeholders.

The role involves planning work, resolving design issues, checking drawings against contractual specs, and coordinating on-site problem resolution with multiple parties to keep the project schedule on track.

Responsibilities

To prepare the Technical Specification, General Arrangement Plan (GAP) and Ship Equipment List (SEL)
To provide specialist technical assessment and analysis other in-house departments and external parties
To participate in tests and trials; including oversea FAT
To plan and ensure that the work for his area of specialization is carried out as per schedule
To follow up and resolve all the design issues on all design documents promptly and timely to support the schedule
To check working drawings and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specification, installation control documents
To check and ensure equipment specification, technical information, functional description document, installation control document and interface design specification are correct and properly maintained, disseminate and use for the preparation of design work activities
To update Department head on work progress/status and shortcomings on technical issues on projects under his charge
To ensure the quality control in the design / drawing process
To model equipment in 2D/3D in the respective room/location
To ensure timely issue of drawings and documents
To perform on site checking and to resolve issues at site with various stakeholders
