NIE invites suitable candidates to join the Division of Academic Computing & Information Services (ACIS) as Systems Analyst (on a 16 months’ contract).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Governance Leadership: Be an integral part of our Technology Governance Committee, ensuring that all technology projects adhere to internal policies and external regulations.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements for innovative AI solutions.

  • AI Project Management: Assist in monitoring AI projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with our strategic business objectives.

  • Effective Communication: Engage with faculty members and researchers to understand their requirements, provide updates, gather feedback, and follow up to ensure timely progress on projects.

  • Technical Expertise: Address technical queries from faculty members and researchers, leveraging your technical expertise to provide accurate and helpful responses.

  • Hands-on Support: Contribute to projects by performing medium-level coding tasks, assisting with technical challenges, and supporting the development process.

  • Compliance Audits: Participate in audits to ensure compliance with both internal standards and external regulations, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and accountability.

Requirements:

  • A University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

  • A proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of technology governance and AI solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business requirements.

  • Technical proficiency, including hands-on coding experience and the ability to address technical queries.

  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to achieving collective goals.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Information
NIE staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their homes to NIE campus. This is subject to the availability of seats.
