A leading company in the banking sector seeks an IT Operations Specialist to maintain critical internal systems and ensure compliance with security standards. The role includes server management, technical support, and vendor coordination. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in IT and considerable experience in the field, particularly in Windows server management and ITIL practices.
About the Role:
Responsible for maintaining critical internal systems and servers supporting banking operations.
Ensures seamless IT infrastructure performance, compliance with security standards, and efficient vendor coordination for software/hardware maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and configure Windows server environments to meet banking security standards
Monitor system performance and generate monthly access log reports and metrics
Provide Tier 3 technical support for servers, networks, PCs, and user accounts
Ensure system configurations comply with audit requirements and implement changes
Create and update technical documentation including runbooks and IT inventory
Troubleshoot system issues, implement workarounds, and perform root cause analysis
Coordinate with vendors for software license renewals and hardware maintenance
Identify system inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance operations
Validate system configurations against design specifications with team leadership
Manage IT assets including ID management records and system parameter sheets
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or related field.
At least 3+ years in IT operations with ITIL framework knowledge.
Expertise in Windows server management, infrastructure tools (backup, monitoring, antivirus), and Microsoft 365 apps (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
Familiarity with network configurations (ACLs, firewalls).
Good to have:
(a) Linux/Unix server management, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), or scripting (PowerShell/Python).
(b) Database knowledge (Oracle/SQL Server) or Power Apps development.
